App Store Purchase Guide

App Store · Paid appGet Shadowrocket on the App Store

Shadowrocket is sold exclusively on the App Store as a one-time purchase. Verify the storefront and app details before buying. If you’ve already purchased it, redownload it from your purchase history.

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID: 932747118
  • US storefront: $2.99 · One-time purchase
  • Universal for iPhone and iPad

The price is shown on the purchase confirmation screen. See the App Store listing for system requirements and compatibility.

Storefront and account region

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. Your Apple Account’s country or region determines which App Store you see. The storefront path in a product page URL, your device’s physical location, and its display language do not replace the region set for your purchasing account. If you can’t find Shadowrocket, check the storefront first instead of trying different search terms.

On iPhone or iPad, check the purchasing account’s region under Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Some system versions may label Apple Account as Apple ID; follow the wording shown on your device. You may need to verify your identity to view account details. The account holder should complete this step.

To find the region-change option, open Country/Region and select the option to change the country or region. This section only explains where the setting is. Whether you can proceed, which account conditions apply, and whether your payment method is accepted depend on the prompts Apple shows at the time. Before changing regions, read the guidance about account balance, active subscriptions, and Family Sharing. A region change is not guaranteed to succeed.

Also check that the account used for Media & Purchases is the account you intend to buy with. Account details used for other services on the device don’t confirm which account the App Store is currently using. Once you’ve checked, open the store button on this page. If the storefront says the app isn’t available in your current region, resolve the account and storefront mismatch first. Don’t pay until you’ve confirmed the details.

01 / VERIFY

How to verify the genuine Shadowrocket app

The name helps you find the app; three details help you confirm it. A nickname or a similar-looking icon alone can’t verify the app’s identity.

Developer name

Shadow Launch Technology Limited

Check the full name in the developer or provider details on the product page. Verify the spelling; don’t accept a similar name as a match.

Official Shadowrocket icon: rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background

Official icon

A rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background. Compare the icon on the App Store product page with the official icon shown here, then check the text details.

App ID

932747118

The id932747118 in the product page URL identifies this app. If another app has a similar name, check this numeric ID as well.

If you open the app from search results, go to its product page rather than relying on the results list. Search may show apps with the same or similar names, or similar icons. Confirm that the developer name, official icon, and app ID all match before checking the price. If any detail doesn’t match, stop and verify the page again before buying.

The layout of a product page may vary by storefront language or device, but the verification details stay the same. The developer name is usually under the app information or provider section; you can confirm the app ID in the product page URL. If you’ve only seen an image shared by someone else and haven’t opened the actual App Store page, you haven’t verified the app. An image is not a substitute for the store listing.

This official manual explains how to verify a purchase; payment and app acquisition take place in the App Store. After confirming the app’s identity, check the account, currency, and amount shown at checkout. Keep your purchase history so you can find it when you change devices. You don’t need to send this site your account password, payment details, or proof of purchase.

02 / IPHONE

Get Shadowrocket on iPhone

On iPhone, open the App Store product page, verify the app details and compatibility, then confirm payment with your own purchasing account. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements. System versions mentioned in a guide may change over time. Before buying, check the compatibility information shown for your current device.

If the App Store says you need to update iOS, first check whether your device supports the required update and back up your data. If there isn’t enough storage, free up space before returning to the App Store. A network interruption, incomplete purchase verification, and an incompatible device are different issues; follow the relevant prompt for each instead of repeatedly tapping the purchase button.

Opening the app for the first time doesn’t mean you’re connected

Once installation is complete, open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen. Have your own subscription link or server details ready, then use the relevant option, such as Add Server or Subscribe. This site explains how to import and use your own configuration; it does not provide nodes or subscriptions. Buying the app alone doesn’t give you the information needed to connect.

When you first enable a connection, the system may ask permission to add a VPN configuration. This allows the app to create a network configuration on your device; it isn’t another app purchase. Confirm that the prompt was triggered by your current action and shows the correct app name, then authorize it as requested. If you’re not ready to connect, go back and review your configuration. Don’t enter account details in a prompt from an unknown source.

After granting permission, select the right configuration and check Global Routing. Config, Proxy, and Direct handle requests differently. Before using the app for the first time, understand the selected option, then run Connectivity Test and verify access. A VPN indicator only shows a related connection status; it doesn’t prove that every request is being handled as expected.

03 / IPAD

iPad and other compatible devices

Use the same purchasing account to check your purchase history on iPhone and iPad. Check device compatibility and your personal configuration separately.

Restore your purchase on iPad

A single purchase with the same Apple Account lets you install Shadowrocket on compatible iPhone and iPad devices. On iPad, sign in to the App Store with the original purchasing account, find the app in your purchase history, and download it again. Check the App Store listing for iPadOS requirements. If a price still appears, check the account and purchase history before paying again.

The wider iPad screen may change how lists and details are arranged, and the layout may also differ in landscape. Use interface labels such as Home, Config, and Settings to find your way around the guide rather than looking for the exact same button coordinates as on iPhone. Your purchase history can restore access to the app; check your subscriptions and rules separately.

After installation, check that your own subscription, server details, and current configuration are all in place. Using the same purchasing account on two devices doesn’t mean their connection settings are automatically synchronized. To move a configuration, first confirm that the details work on the original device, then import and test them on iPad. Keep sensitive items such as keys and full subscription links somewhere only you control.

Mac / Apple TV / Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal; the App Store listing is the source of truth. Expand the compatibility details and check your specific device instead of relying on the product name alone.

Get these devices from the App Store as well. Don’t assume that the purchase and compatibility information shown on iPhone or iPad applies to another device. Check that device’s App Store page and purchase history first. The getting-started and configuration steps in this guide are primarily for iPhone and iPad; touchscreen instructions may not map directly to other devices.

To check whether a purchase can be used through Family Sharing, review the App Store’s Family Sharing information and the current status of your family group. Device compatibility, purchase eligibility, and configuration availability are separate requirements. Meeting one doesn’t mean the others are automatically met. Check each one before buying to avoid troubleshooting later.

04 / RESTORE

Switching devices, reinstalling, and restoring purchases

You can redownload an app from the original purchasing account’s purchase history without paying again for the same purchase. When switching devices, distinguish between restoring your App Store purchase and restoring your personal Shadowrocket configuration. The first lets you reinstall the app on a compatible device; the second restores access to your own subscriptions, servers, and rules. Neither replaces the other.

Find the app in your App Store purchase history

  1. On your new device, open the App Store and go to your account page. Confirm that Media & Purchases is signed in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
  2. Open Purchased and find Shadowrocket. Menu names and groupings may vary by system version; follow the options currently shown in the App Store.
  3. Open the app listing, verify the developer and app ID, then use the redownload button, such as the cloud icon, to restore it.
  4. After installation, open the app, import your own subscription or server details, and check your current configuration and connection permissions again.

If the app’s product page still shows a price, pause before paying and check whether the current account made the original purchase. Having installed the app on another device doesn’t prove that the account you’re signed in with now owns that purchase. Verify the purchasing account, app name, and order status. If the storefront region or app availability has changed, read the current store message as well.

Restore your personal configuration separately

Before reinstalling, if the app still opens on your old device, make a note of your subscription links, server details, and current configuration. After reinstalling, don’t assume that an empty list means your purchase wasn’t restored: the App Store restores your eligibility to get the app, but it doesn’t guarantee that all your personal data will return. Once you’ve imported your details, check your node selection, rules, and Global Routing, then test the connection.

Personal configuration may contain access credentials. Don’t post a full configuration, key, or subscription link in a public comment. If you need help troubleshooting, note the error message and steps that led to it, and hide sensitive information first. If your old details no longer work, contact your own service provider to check their status. This site can’t retrieve or resend those details for you.

Check whether Family Sharing applies

Family Sharing eligibility depends on the App Store product page and the current rules shown for your family group. Check whether the product page lists support, then review purchase sharing settings and account eligibility for family members. Restoring with your original purchasing account is different from using a family member’s purchase. If the screen asks you to pay, check your eligibility first; don’t assume the charge will be automatically reversed later.

If you’re asked to authorize the app again after restoring it, check the prompt on your current device. Authorization on your old device doesn’t mean the new one will inherit the same system configuration. Authorize the app on the new device, then check your imported details and test access. Verify App Store restoration, system permissions, and personal configuration separately so you don’t mistake a connection issue for a need to buy the app again.

05 / PURCHASE

Price and one-time purchase

The US storefront reference price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase. Other storefronts display local currencies. The final price is shown on the App Store purchase confirmation screen.

The purchase covers the app

Shadowrocket is a paid, closed-source commercial app sold as a one-time purchase, with no recurring monthly app fee. Prices vary by storefront and currency. Check the purchase confirmation screen before paying; a price shown for another region doesn’t guarantee what your account will be charged.

The one-time purchase applies to the app itself: the same purchasing account can restore the app on eligible devices. It doesn’t guarantee compatibility with every device or replace the App Store’s information about supported devices and purchase eligibility. App updates are delivered through the App Store; check the store to see whether an update is available.

Before confirming an App Store purchase, check the app name, current account, and amount. If you’re trying to restore a purchase but see a price and payment confirmation, go back and check your purchase history first. Paying again won’t fix a connection issue. If the app is already installed, troubleshoot the configuration and network instead.

The app purchase does not include a service subscription

A one-time app purchase does not include a service subscription. Buying Shadowrocket does not automatically provide server details or a subscription link. You need your own subscription or server details, and must check that they’re still valid. The app reads your configuration and handles connections according to your settings; the validity of the details must be checked separately.

This is the official Shadowrocket website and manual. It does not provide or sell nodes or subscriptions, or recommend related services. This guide explains how to import your own details, understand settings, and troubleshoot errors. Your App Store purchase and the status of any service you already use are separate. Restoring the app won’t extend or renew an external service.

If you’re wondering why you still can’t connect after buying the app, first check whether you’ve imported a valid configuration of your own, then review its settings and connection status. Don’t buy the app again because the list is empty, and don’t assume a successful App Store payment means a service is ready to use. Check purchase, import, and connection issues separately.

06 / QUESTIONS

Shadowrocket download and purchase FAQ

Read the App Store message first, then check the relevant steps below. Expand a question to see the answer.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. Your Apple Account’s country or region determines which App Store you see. Check the account region under Media & Purchases in Settings, then see whether the product page is available. Your device language and physical location do not determine your storefront.

The product page opens, but the download won’t start. What should I check?

Read the App Store message, then check your account region, device compatibility, available storage, network connection, and payment status. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements. If you’ve already purchased the app, check your purchase history before confirming another payment.

Do I have to pay again when I replace my device or reinstall Shadowrocket?

On the App Store, sign in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase and find Shadowrocket in your purchase history to download it again. You won’t be charged again for the same purchased app. If a price still appears, check the purchase account and history. Restoring the app and restoring your personal configuration are separate steps.

Can I install Shadowrocket on my iPad after buying it on iPhone?

Yes. After purchasing once with the same Apple Account, you can redownload the app from your purchase history on compatible iPhone and iPad devices. Check the App Store listing for iPadOS requirements. You’ll still need to import your own configuration after installation.

Can I install Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. Get the app on these devices from the App Store as well.

How should I follow this guide when the app interface is in English?

This guide keeps interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Subscribe, Config, Global Routing, and Settings in English so you can find them in the app. Configuration, proxying, and direct connections correspond to Config, Proxy, and Direct. Check what each option does before changing it.
